The Trope Tracker | Digital Reading Journal for Romance Readers

Every book is a case. Every trope is evidence. The Trope Tracker is a digital reading journal for romance and romantasy readers with opinions: tick the tropes, rate the spice in chillies, list the red flags you ignored, and finally get proof of your type.

340 hyperlinked pages, designed by me for readers who don't just read books, they investigate them. Every enemies to lovers, slow burn, why choose and m/m romance gets its own case file, and by December the Trope Tracker tally knows your type better than your group chat does.

What's inside

  • 50 case files, 6 pages per book: The File (tropes, pairing, spice, rating, content warnings), The Evidence (red flags I ignored, the line I'd get tattooed, who I'd commit crimes for), a three-part review and a notes page
  • The Cross-Examination: did the tropes deliver, plus a relationship timeline from first meeting to endgame
  • The Trope Tracker tally: 36 tropes, one tick per book
  • Tropes: trope tolerance chart and two trope bingo cards
  • The Waitlist TBR tracker, Case Index and a Bookshelf for your book covers
  • Crushes & ships: They're a 10 but…, The Lineup and Ships Hall of Fame
  • Logs: reading heatmap, series tracker, DNF graveyard, lent out log, who recommended it, quote vault
  • Reading Wrapped: your year in stats, a top three podium, The Awards and a letter to next year's you
  • Clickable tabs on every page, so any section is one tap away

What you get

  • Tablet version: hyperlinked PDF for Goodnotes, Notability and other note-taking apps
  • Print version, A4 (UK & Europe)
  • Print version, US Letter (US & Canada)
  • Start Here guide with app setup, printing settings and a little thank-you code for your next order

All four files come in one purchase. It's undated, so start any month, and it's inclusive by design: m/f, m/m, f/f, why choose, poly and queer pairings, with gender-neutral wording throughout.

The perfect bookish gift

For the friend who annotates in five colours, rates books in chillies and has never once recovered from a third-act breakup. Send it for a birthday, Christmas or book club Secret Santa, or keep it for yourself, because you finished that series and you're not okay.

Compatibility

Works best with Goodnotes and Notability on iPad, and Penly or Xodo on Android. Download the file before opening it, and switch off the pen tool to tap the links. Not recommended: Samsung Notes, Gemini Notebook or Goodnotes for Android, as links don't work there (you can still write in it).

Good to know

This is a digital download: nothing will be posted. Your download link arrives by email straight after checkout. Colours may vary slightly between screens and printers. For personal use only, please don't share or resell the files. Because files are delivered instantly, digital downloads can't be returned, but if anything isn't working, email me and I'll sort it.
